Ash Green Scouts - simply the best

  • Alan Gordon RIP

It is with great sadness, and shock, that I have to inform you of the death of Alan Gordon.

Alan had recently suffered a minor stroke, but had been recovering well. Fortunately, he was well enough to travel to the Channel Islands only last week to see his new-born Grandson for the very first time. However, having returned home, he suffered a major heart attack on Tuesday and sadly never recovered.

Alan, who was our Asst. Group Scout Leader and the Excelsior Explorers Leader, will be fondly remembered in Scouting for the amazing work he did, primarily with Emma Jones, in completely re-building an ailing Ash Green Scout Group into the flourishing Group we now know and enjoy. It is my privilege to continue to build upon the work he started.

Our deepest sympathy and kindest thoughts go out to Alan’s family at this time. The family have asked that we respect their privacy during this difficult period.
